✦ SpotCircle

Support

Let’s get you exploring again.

Start with the checks below. If the problem remains, send the app version/build, iPhone model, iOS version, and exact steps that caused it—without sharing a Circle code or private address.

Contact

Email spotssupportteam@gmail.com. For a crash, say what screen you were on and what you tapped immediately before it happened. Screenshots help when they do not reveal private locations or invite codes.

Email SpotCircle support

Cannot sign in

  1. Use the exact password you created; it is case-sensitive and may contain spaces.
  2. Confirm you are online and using the same SpotCircle service origin where the account was created.
  3. After repeated failures, wait 15 minutes before trying again.
  4. This beta does not send reset email. If the password was lost, use a previously linked Apple Account or saved recovery key. Support cannot recover the original password.

Never email a password, recovery key, session, or server secret.

Circle will not join or sync

  1. Confirm both phones are online and use the current app release.
  2. Set a valid username before joining.
  3. Ask the owner for a newly copied 16-character code; do not post it publicly.
  4. Open the Circle and tap Sync. If the issue remains, include the Circle ID—not its code or secret—in the support email.

Friend location is missing or stale

  1. Location sharing is separate for each Circle and off by default. The person must choose While Using or Always in Circle Live.
  2. Confirm that person appears in the Circle roster and that sync succeeds.
  3. For Always, check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → SpotCircle → Always.
  4. Force quitting stops iOS background delivery until SpotCircle is opened again. A marker also disappears when its bounded lease expires.

SpotCircle is not an emergency location service.

Map, route, or spirit issue

Allow While Using location if you want the spirit anchored to your current position. You can still pan and zoom during a route; use Follow to recenter. If arrival or returning to the map crashes, include the Spot category, approximate route length, and whether the app was foregrounded—never an exact home address.

Public listing concern

Open the listing and use Report for the fastest moderation path. Hide Explorer removes that publisher’s Public Spots from your phone immediately. For an appeal or a listing you cannot open, email support with the Public Spot ID.
